Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire Hosts Informative Tea Talk: “Envisioning the Future” at Nashua Public Library
The Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire (BHTNH) is pleased to invite the public to the concluding event of its Elinor Williams Hooker Tea Talk series, “Envisioning the Future,” scheduled for Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Nashua Public Library. This engaging panel discussion provides an excellent opportunity for community members to educate themselves about New Hampshire’s diverse history and its implications for the future.
The tea talk aims to foster a thoughtful exploration of historical federal initiatives like the New Deal and the Great Society, and their impacts on New Hampshire, drawing lessons to envision a more inclusive future. By examining these key moments in our nation’s history, participants will gain insights into how New Hampshire has navigated its unique challenges and opportunities in the pursuit of equity and justice.
Our panel features Nate Giffard, Data Director at America Votes, Hon. Jonah Wheeler, NH State Representative for Hillsborough County District 33, and Grace Kindeke, Program Coordinator at the American Friends Service Committee. The discussion will be moderated by Hon. Linda Gaithright, NH State Representative for Hillsborough County District 10.
Attendees will have the chance to engage with these knowledgeable speakers, delve into significant historical events, and consider their long-term effects on our society.
