This February, the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire (BHTNH) invites you to participate in an educational and exciting Scavenger Hunt. Explore the untold stories of New Hampshire's Black history through our historical markers and win exclusive prizes.
How to Participate:
Download the Puzzle: Each week, we will release a new puzzle worksheet on our website. This puzzle will contain clues to one of our historical markers.
Solve and Explore: Use the clues to find the historical marker. This journey will not only test your puzzle-solving skills but also expand your knowledge of New Hampshire's Black heritage.
Capture Your Discovery: Take a photo of yourself at the historical marker.
Share Your Adventure: Post your photo on social media, tag BHTNH, and use the hashtag #UntoldStories. This step is crucial for your participation to be counted.
Rules:
- Open to all ages. We encourage students and families to participate.
- Each participant or team can submit one entry per week.
- Entries must be posted on social media by [specific deadline each week] to qualify.
- The photo must clearly show the historical marker and the participant/team.
- Ensure your social media post is public so we can see it.
Prizes:
- The first participant to complete each week's challenge will receive an Official Black History Month Red Sox Hat.
- All participants who complete all weekly challenges will be entered into a grand prize drawing at the end of the month.
